About the opportunity:

We have been investing heavily in using robotic process automation tools to gather content for our research into the global professional services sector. We’re now embarking on the process of rebuilding one of our core products, a process that will involve not only upgrading the current product’s functionality but also replacing complex manual processes with machine learning and similar solutions to help us deliver a better, faster, and more efficient service to subscribers. The purpose of this new role will be to bring together the ability to manage the rebuild, maintenance, and update of the technical platform with a willingness to understand and manage the data-gathering processes, quality assurance checks, etc. The successful candidate will be someone with strong technical skills, experience of process design, and a willingness to engage with the content of the product—in effect, to take complete end-to-end responsibility for this product.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Refining and executing the technical strategy for this product, including taking decisions about the appropriate solution for each step in the process
  • Translating those ideas into development and maintenance requirements and priorities, and the roadmap for implementation
  • Developing the new version of this product, with support from our Development team
  • Drafting an iterative process to track and guide progress, working closely with the Development team to ensure requirements are achievable
  • Defining and managing all of the activities required to bring new functionalities to market. This involves bridging gaps between different functions within the company and aligning key teams and external resources as required

This is the sort of person we need:

      Must have:

        • Versatile profile who enjoys being the link between the business and the technical team, and who can translate product ideas into development requirements and priorities
        • Experience working with developers and understanding of relational databases
        • Experience in a similar role including project management, product/project ownership, and stakeholder management responsibilities
        • Excellent communication skills

        Nice to have:

        • Experience managing an SDLC
        • An interest in NLP and cloud ML platforms
        • Experience in a management consulting firm, or in the professional services industry

We want our organisation to consist of people who:

        • Are generous with their time in order to help each other (and our customers) succeed
        • Take the wheel when needed
        • Have a positive attitude
        • Can always be objective and honest
        • Keep an eye on the future
        • Are always professional
        • Have a sense of fairness
        • Trust each other
        • Ask, listen and hear
        • Are approachable
        • Are curious, and who want to learn
        • Are constantly looking for ways to improve things (products and processes)
        • Develop products we can be proud of
        • Have an intuitive sense of what’s important
        • Demonstrate leadership by example
        • Laugh a lot
