We have lots of unstructured datasets that are regularly used as inputs to help refine and calibrate our data models, and as such we’re looking for someone who is excited to help organise these datasets, and build reporting workflows and ETL pipelines that allow our analysts to interrogate the model with ease.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting our data team and analysts with ad-hoc data processes around the business
  • Producing internal-facing dashboards that help to keep track of various important metrics
  • Ad hoc work on consulting projects, producing data analysis, and engaging with project teams and clients

As you grow into the role:

  • Automating scripts with a workflow management tool like Airflow
  • Producing external-facing dashboards
  • Thinking about the data requirements of the future and opportunities for collecting and storing new data

    • Used relational databases (we use MySql) - querying, structuring, optimising, backing up data etc.
    • Experience with coding - preferably using python (we use pandas a lot)
    • Awareness of software engineering best practices such as requirements analysis, system design, modularity, version control, testing, documentation, etc.

    • Degree in mathematical or scientific field

    • Trust each other
    • Ask, listen and hear
    • Are approachable
    • Are curious, and who want to learn
    • Are constantly looking for ways to improve things (products and processes)
    • Develop products we can be proud of
