About the opportunity:
We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager (BDM) to sit at the centre of our new business revenue generating team. The Senior BDM will execute the go-to-market strategy to drive pipeline growth, build our profile within target accounts, and deliver ROI across existing and new markets. Target accounts are both in existing markets (consulting, tax, risk, and audit) and in new markets we are targeting (for example legal services and private equity).
The Senior BDM will be expected to nurture and expand relationships with key target accounts as well as proactively reach out to new contacts to initiate and develop further relationships and opportunities. Working closely with the marketing and growth team, the senior BDM will be required to progress leads generated through campaigns, mailers, and referrals, as well as being able to expertly communicate our unique offering to build a pipeline of high yielding and quality clients. We will expect the Senior BDM to gain content knowledge and show interest in engaging clients around innovative ideas in the professional services space.
This role will report into the Director of Marketing and Strategic Growth and work alongside a Business Development Executive.
Skills and Required Experience:
We need someone who is both a hunter and a farmer. Someone who is driven and committed with strong influencing skills and impact. And someone who has strong stakeholder management – you will be working with some of the most senior clients in the world’s leading professional services firms, so your relationship development will need to be at its best.
The ultimate measure of success is to turn a target account into a key account for handover to the key accounts team. We don’t have a sales commission structure. We operate as one-team, and compensation is purely salary and whole company bonus based.
