What we do

Source helps professional services firms understand what really matters when facing decisions of vital importance.

With an unwavering focus, we are deeply rooted in the professional services sector, and provide firms with unprecedented insight into their clients’ worlds. We deliver clear-cut direction that gives firms and their leaders the confidence to act.

Who we are

We’re people who question the question, and we’re always on the lookout for people who do too. Does that sound like you?

We’re open and transparent in everything we do, and always have time for each other. We take responsibility and pride in our work, listen with respect, and we never let the team down. We often succeed individually, but thrive together.

We approach every new challenge we face with curiosity; being agile and adaptive to whatever comes our way. We’re always reflecting on our mistakes, looking for better outcomes, and learning all the time. And we always aim high—seizing every opportunity that comes our way.

About the role

We are looking for a talented copyeditor to join our Editorial team. You will play a crucial role in creating, honing and polishing market-leading copy that helps professional services firms make the best business decisions.

Content sits at the heart of Source’s strategy, and the Editorial team is crucial to the organisation’s success. The primary focus of this role will be editing and proofing copy—including long-form reports, punchy blogs and impactful website content—and ensuring it is all of excellent quality. Attention to detail is crucial. Our content is data-driven and highly visual and so, if you enjoy those aspects, you will be a great fit.

We are a collaborative, friendly, creative business and so there will be lots of opportunities to get involved in diverse projects and develop new skills.

What you'll be doing

  • Editing and proofreading a broad range of material for both internal and external use, including proposals, surveys, presentations, reports, website, and marketing content.
  • Suggesting changes that ensure content is not only clear and accurate but also engaging and compelling to audiences.
  • Ensuring that all content and its tone adheres to the Source house style and brand guidelines while knowing when to adapt it to region/specific audience.
  • Using data in Excel, Tableau, and other tools to proof data claims.
  • Fact-checking to flag incorrect claims and discrepancies in copy.
  • Liaising with project owners to resolve potential issues in projects.
  • Answering style and grammar questions posed by other members of the Source team and directing them towards additional resource as appropriate.
  • Ensuring the right balance between speed and accuracy, along with efficient prioritisation of workload.

Who you are

  • A minimum of 1-3 years' experience editing/proofing copy, ideally for a business or professional services audience
  • A professional, collaborative approach to work—you enjoy learning from others and are enthusiastic about sharing your own knowledge and skills generously.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills.
  • Quick to learn, understand, and take on feedback.
  • Flexible, organised, and comfortable juggling multiple tasks.
  • A love for words and an interest in research and data

This job is suitable for hybrid working, with a minimum of two days per week in our friendly London office.

What we offer

Source might be smaller than your traditional consulting firm, but we think this is part of what makes us special. We aren’t hierarchical: If you’ve got a good idea, we’ll listen.

Being smaller and more agile allows us to have a strong focus on learning & development. In fact, we encourage all employees to dedicate 10% of their time to their professional and personal development. In support of this, we also allow two hours per week for employees to put their mental health first—the whole business switches off from technology, and uses the time to connect with one another, think deeply about the tasks they’re working on, and use the time in a way that promotes positive well-being.

We appreciate hard work: At the end of each year we split 10% of our pre-tax profit between everyone across the business, and we also reward people with performance-based bonuses.
